Antigel’s social programme, Antidote, will be introduced for this 8th festival. It marks a shift in approach and turns several years of reflection on the idea of introducing a social dimension into a rallying event like Antigel, into reality.

Sharing experience, breaking down barriers, creating new opportunities and giving impetus, Antigel is open to everyone and makes room for everyone within its teams and its events.

The project takes on various shapes:
- Cultural outreach and participation
- Professional training and inclusion
- Social ties, interaction and sharing

In 2018, Antidote is intended for asylum seekers and the professional and social integration of young people, and takes the following shape:

1. SUPERVISED INTERNSHIPS AT THE HEART OF THE TEAM
Close interaction with our professionals and volunteers, intense cultural and event-planning immersion, development of professional, language and social skills: some 30 people are given the opportunity to experience Antigel from the inside.

A custom-designed experience that takes interests and potential into account.

Asylum seekers and young people in professional and social integration programmes who are referred to us by our social partners, with whom we work hand-in-hand to guarantee an empowering experience.

In partnership with: Hospice Général, Geneva Red Cross, Filinea, APDH, Scène Active

2. ANTIGEL RUN – SPORTS, INTEGRATION AND SHARING
Asylum seekers receive specialised supervision during training sessions for the Antigel Run, with the aim of helping with sport and the integration processes. The drinks and snacks at the end of the training sessions provide an opportunity to interact with new people.

Sports equipment is provided for those who need it and concerned parties have the opportunity to participate in a race as well as one of the festival’s cultural events.

Sport is an ideal means to work on one’s self-esteem, improve one’s physical and mental condition and meet other people.
